‘Moshari’ wins jury choice award in South Korea

The horror short film ‘Moshari’ directed by Nuhash Humayun has won the Jury’s Choice award at the Bucheon International Film Festival in South Korea on Thursday.

Nuhash announced the good news on his Facebook account and wrote, “MOSHARI wins Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival! Jury’s Choice award at the biggest genre fest in Asia!Thanks for all the love South Korea!”

Nuhash and lead actress of the film Sunehra Binte Kamal have recieved the award in the festival in South Korea. They were also present in the screening of ‘Moshari’.

‘Moshari,’ mosquito net, stars ‘No Dorai’ famed actress Sunerah Binte Kamal and Nuhash’s niece Nairah Onora Saif as two sisters trying to survive an apocalypse.

“My parents separated when I was a kid, and my mom was always so busy because she was at university, so it was sort of like my sisters who raised me. That sisterly relationship, I thought there was something interesting there—just exploring ‘What happens when your sister becomes your mother because your parents are too busy or not there?’,” Nuhash shared his childhood memories as an inspiration for the film during an interview with horror magazine ‘Fangoria’.

Two sisters, Apu and Ayra, must navigate this strange new world to survive. However, their strained relationship is becoming as much of a threat as the dangers outside.
