Ashraful Alam Sayeed, popularly known as a Hero Alam was summoned by the Cyber Crime Unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) on several charges, including creating content that is distorted and causing public dissatisfaction.
He was interrogated at the DB office on Wednesday. There, he was questioned on several issues, including songs which he performed in distorted tunes, using police and other forces’ uniforms for purpose of acting and creating content.
During the interrogation, Hero Alam said that he creates content on various viral issues mainly to earn money. In this case, he gave more importance to the views than the quality.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Intelligence Division (DB) Chief and Additional DIG Mohammad Haroon Or Rashid said, “Many complaints were filed against Hero Alam in the Cyber and Special Crimes Department of the DB. We questioned him about them. He admitted his mistakes in these matters. He promised not to do anything like this in the future.”
Hero Alam has signed to a bond, where three issues have been mentioned. These are— Hero Alam will use the special force’s uniforms following proper rules without distorting them in acting. He will not create and promote any content that misrepresents Bengali culture. He will not create or broadcast any content that is offensive, satirical, insulting, humiliating, or causing public dissatisfaction.
