Anuswar to stage 'Mulya Amulya' today

Theatre troupe Anuswar will stage its play 'Mulya Amulya' today at 7:00pm at Experimental Theatre Hall of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

'Mulya Amulya' is based on Arthur Miller’s 'The Price'. The play is the third production of the troupe and has been adapted and directed by Mohammad Bari while Asit Mukhopaddhay translated the play.

The play reflects how a capitalist world affects people as the play centres the two brothers Ranju and Manju. While one of the brother wants to hold on to old values and relationships, the other one puts profit over everything else.

The play goes on as the brother how always ran after wealth becomes very rich at a point but he lost all the happiness of his life.

This will be the 18th staging of the play.
