‘Bangamata’ to premiere at BSA

Director Goutam Koiri’s short film ‘Bangamata’, based on the life of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, will be released today on the occasion of the birthday of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib. Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) will host the premier show of the film.

Actress Jyotika Jyoti will be playing the lead role in the short film titled ‘Bangamata’. The poster of the short film which was unveiled recently shows Jyotika Jyoti as Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.

The film is based on the novel ‘Bangamata Itihasher Nribhrita Sainik’ written by Khorshed Bahar.

The short film also stars Monir Ahmed Shakeel, Shovan Das, Meghla Shuhashini Tupur and Farzana Chobi, among others.

The film is produced by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in association with Poter Chobi.
