After the tremendous success of ‘Shada Shada Kala Kala’, the makers of ‘Hawa’ dropped another new song ‘Aat Ta Baje Deri Korish Na’. It marks the third official song of the film.
The song was briefly used in the film during a scene and created a massive hype on social media just after the release of the full version on Saturday night.
Sang by Basudeb Das Baul the music arrangement has been done by Emon Chowdhury. The lyrics and the composition of the song have been collected as the words of the song are very popular among the locals for a long time. The song is a traditional folk song.
Basudeb, a renowned Bengali Baul singer and musician from Bolpur of Birbhum in the Indian state of West Bengal, also played dotara in the track. Percussionist Mithun Chakra played dubki while sarod was played by Oishshorjo Mallik and sarengi was Shounak Deb Nath Wreek.
Apart from that, Emon played the bass and also mixed and mastered the track while Ripon Kumar Sarkar (Boga Taleb) coordinated the arrangement with him. Maati Rahman provided the additional voice for the track.
According to the director, the song ‘Aat Ta Baje Deri Korish Na’ is an old one and Basudeb Das Baul has been singing the song since his youth. "Five or six years ago, I heard the song first. We listened to this song a lot while writing the script for 'Hawa'. Hawa's screenplay was written while listening to this song," said the director on his Facebook post.
The track and its music video showcase multiple scenes from the film while representing the vibrant chemistry between the characters, at the same time tremendously visualising the fishing lifestyle of the fishermen living in the trawler, which was used as the ultimate setting of the film.
Some portions of the song can be heard in the film as Urkes Parkes played the song on his cell phone.
