Puja starrer ‘Hridita’ to be released on Oct 7

Popular Bangladeshi film star Puja Chery starrer ‘Hridita’ is all set for nationwide theatrical release on October 7. The film, based on acclaimed Bangladeshi author Anisul Hoque’s popular novel of the same name, received the Bangladesh government’s film grant for the fiscal year 2019-2020. Puja will be sharing screen alongside ABM Sumon for the first time through this film.

The release date was announced during the film’s poster release event on Saturday.

During the event Puja Chery told the press that this is the first time she worked in a literary film. She also said that she tried her best to portray the character properly and is very optimistic about the success of the film as the Bangladeshi film industry is going through a positive change.

‘Hridita’ director Ispahani Arif Jahan told the press, “I hope that audience will come to see our movie ‘Hridita’ in the same way they have been going to the theatres to watch the movies like ‘Din: The Day,’ ‘Poran,’ and ‘Hawa’.”

He is also hopeful that the audience will love ‘Hridita’ as the film has an interesting romantic story with some unique messages.

‘Hridita’ received an uncut censor clearance on March 17. The trailer and songs of the film will be released during the promotion stage before its release.

The film will star Manas Banerjee, Saberi Alam, Arjuman Ara and many others alongside Puja and Sumon.

Moreover, Anisul Haque has written the dialogues for the film himself whereas the screenplay was written by the director.

‘Hridita’ will feature two songs voiced by popular singers Chandan Sinha and Shithi Saha.
