Pori, Razz blessed with a baby boy

Dhallywood’s star Pori Moni gave birth to a baby boy at the capital’s Evercare Hospital on Wednesday evening. Her husband and famous film actor Sariful Razz confirmed this information to The Business Post and said that both the mother and the newborn are healthy.

Pori and Razz shared the name and photos of their newborn son on their verified Facebook profiles. The baby boy has been named Shaheem Muhammad Rajya.

The couple got married in a private event on October 17 of last year. Pori Moni confirmed her pregnancy in early January 2022 and announced that she would take a one-year break from acting.

Media reports suggest, that the couple met each other and fell in love on the set of Giyas Uddin Selim’s web film ‘Gunin’ and got married a few days later.

The film was denied certification by the Bangladesh Film Censor Board, which stated that it was a national disaster that people may misunderstand. Her second but first released film was ‘Bhalobasha Shimaheen,’ on 13 February 2015.

Her notable works include ‘Aro Bhalobashbo Tomay,’ ‘Rokto,’ and ‘Swapnajaal.’ She was listed in Forbes Asia’s “100 Digital Stars” magazine in December 2020.
