Peya Jannatul enlisted as a Supreme Court advocate

Popular Bangladeshi model, anchor, actress and lawyer Peya Jannatul has recently been enlisted as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. The internationally acclaimed artiste posted the news on her verified Facebook profile on Saturday.

“I’m immensely proud to say that I have become Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. I had to work hard to add this title to my legal profession. Extremely satisfied with the life and the people and my pets that I am surrounded by,” she wrote.

Jannatul Ferdous Peya, commonly known by her stage name Peya Jannatul, started her career as a ramp model. She was crowned Miss Bangladesh in 2007 which launched her career. Born and raised in Khulna Peya completed her Bachelor of Law from the University of London back in 2016.

From 2014 to 2015, she worked with Mascot Model Management in New Delhi, which is an India-based modelling agency. She also starred in a Bollywood music video back in 2014. Peya is also the first cover girl of Vogue India from Bangladesh and became the brand ambassador for global brands like TRESemmé and Yamaha.

Her silver screen debut came with ‘Chorabali’ directed by Redwan Rony in 2012. She also starred in films like ‘Gangster Returns’ and ‘Story of Samara.’ Her latest film was ‘Chitmahal, directed by HR Habib, was released in January this year.
