Renowned Bangladeshi actress Tanvin Sweety has started shooting for the film ‘Russell-er Jonno Opekkha’ directed by Noor-e-Alam. She will be seen playing the role of the school teacher of Sheikh Russell, the youngest child of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding father and first President of Bangladesh.
“I became very emotional while doing the shooting for this film. To be honest, though a lot of films are being made on Bangabandhu but this film, ‘Russell-er Jonno Opekkha’ is going to be an emotional one. I enjoyed working on this project very much,” said Sweety.
‘Russell-er Jonno Opekkha’ is based on Selina Hossain’s novel of the same name and the screenplay is written by Ahmed Yousuf Saber.
The film is based on Bangabandhu’s youngest son Sheikh Russell who was a student of class four at the University Laboratory School in the capital. Once he became friends with Dulal, a nut seller, but one day Russell goes missing and never comes back. This film’s story revolves around Dulal’s selfless friendship with Russell. A friend waiting for another friend.
Apart from ‘Russell-er Jonno Opekkha’, Sweety recently finished the work for ‘Dui Diner Duniya’ directed by Anam Biswas. The web-film is soon going to be released on an OTT platform. The actress is also going to finish the dubbing for the film ‘Mike’ which is jointly directed by FM Shahin and Hasan Jafrul.
Sweety is also a renowned theatre artist. Her recent theatre performance in ‘Pohale Shorbori’ directed by Ramendu Majumdar is being highly praised by the audience. She will be performing another theatre next month.
