Tapan Chowdhury, who has enriched the Bangladeshi music industry for more than four decades with melodious songs, is trying to keep that continuity. Due to his unbeatable love and affection for music, he did not think about anything else in life except music.
The singer is now staying in Montreal in Canada. He didn’t stop singing there either. Tapan Chowdhury sings on various occasions.
Tapan Chowdhury said that he last sang a song titled ‘Shesh Biday’ under Ruptanu Sharma’s composition. The lyrics of the song were written by Humayun Chowdhury.
Tapan Chowdhury from Canada expressed his feelings regarding the song, “This is the first time I have sung a song under Ruptanu’s music composition. The lyrics and the melody of the song made me very emotional. Good songs are still making which has been proved again by this song. I don’t know how to sing a song that doesn’t have poetic and lyrical matters.”
Tapan Chowdhury came to the country in March last year. He last composed the song ‘Soboi Tumi’ written by Mustafa Khalid Palash. He also sang the song under the music direction of Ujjal Sinha.
“There is no plan to come to the country for now. But my minds always want to come back to the country”, said Tapan Chowdhury.
In 1979, Tapan Chowdhury became a superstar after rendering the popular song titled ‘Mon Shudhu Mon Chhuyechhe’ under the banner of the band Souls. But in playback, Tapan Chowdhury rendered the song ‘Pathorer Prithibite Kancher Hridoy,’ which was used in Razzak directed movie ‘Dhaka 86’. The lyrics of the song were written by Gazi Mazharul. ‘Firey Elam’ was Tapan Chowdhury’s last released solo album.
