23rd Young Artists’ Art Exhibition 2022 extended till Sept 9

‘23rd Young Artists’ Art Exhibition 2022’ which was about to end on August 31, is now set to continue till September 9.

Organisers decided to extend the time because of a huge demand from a large number of artists across the country. The pictures of the exhibition will be available online. Viewers can visit the website of Bangladesh Shipakala Academy to view the pictures of the exhibition.

The exhibition is open to all, from 11pm to 8pm at galleries 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and the Sculpture Art Gallery of BSA.

Organised by the BSA’s fine arts department, the biennial exhibition this year is showcasing 422 artworks by 356 artists under 11 categories, namely painting, printmaking, sculpture, oriental art, pottery, craft, graphic design, photography, installation art, performance art and new media.

The artistes received awards on the day of inaugural ceremony on July 27. The best artist among all mediums received Tk. 1 lakh, a medal, crest and certificate, while each of the best artists from 11 mediums of fine arts (painting, printmaking, sculpture, oriental art, crafts, pottery, graphic design, photography, installation art, performance art and new media art) including photography received Tk. 50,000, a crest, certificate and a catalogue.
