Ananta to receive Tk 40 lakh for ‘Kill Him’

Popular Bangladeshi businessman, actor, director, and producer Ananta Jalil has unveiled the first look and teaser of his upcoming film ‘Kill Him’ at its muhurat (announcement) ceremony at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) premises on Saturday. This will be the first time that Jalil and his wife Barsha are not working on a film produced by their own production company.

The action thriller film is being produced and directed by Mohammad Iqbal, under the banner of Sunan movies.

During the muhurat event, Ananta Jalil revealed that he will be receiving Tk 40 lakh, while his wife Barsha will receive 10 lakh as remuneration for the film.

The director handed over the advance cheque to the actors during the ceremony. The film’s director, producer Mohammad Iqbal claims that no other actor in the Bangladeshi film industry has received such a high fee as of yet.

The stylistic teaser features Ananta Jalil looking fierce with his large collection of guns and all set to go on a mission. In the next scenes, he appears with a Royal Enfield motorbike and aims his gun at an unseen target.

Apart from Ananta and Barsha, two other popular Dhallywood actors– Rubel and Misha Sawdagar, will appear in the film. Bollywood actor Rahul Dev will be seen as the antagonist of the film. The production of the film is scheduled to begin in October in different locations in Bangladesh, India, and Indonesia.

Popular Bangladeshi actors Ilias Kanchan, Nipun Akhter, and Symon Sadiq were also present at the event.

Ananta Jalil’s ‘Kill Him’ will hit Bangladeshi theatres on Eid-Ul-Fitr in 2023.
