Actress Polee Ahmed passes away

Popular Bangladeshi actress Polee Ahmed, the wife of Anisur Rahman Milon, noted actor and Vice President of Actors’ Equity Bangladesh passed away around 11:57 am on Sunday, US time. She breathed her last at Kern Medical in California.

Anisur Rahman Milon announced the news of her demise through his official Facebook account. His post reads, “My wife, Polee Ahmed passed away today at 11:57 am in Bakersfield’s Kern Medical, California, US. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.”

Polee had two children Mihran and Maesha. She was suffering from cancer for many years and was receiving treatment in the US.

Expressing grief, Rawnak Hasan, general secretary of Actors’ Equity Bangladesh, told the press, “Polee Ahmed was the wife of our beloved actor and Actors’ Equity vice president Anisur Rahman Milon. She breathed her last on Sunday. May her soul rest in peace. She was suffering from cancer for a long time.” 

Many celebrities shared their condolences for the loss of Polee on social media.
