Puja Chery speaks up about ‘leaked photos’

Popular Bangladeshi film star Puja Chery has finally spoken out about the recently viral ‘leaked photos’ of her and co-actor Farhan Ahmed Jovan. A couple of photos of them kissing went viral on social media last week. Puja recently told the media that the photos were secretly taken while they were shooting a romantic scene in Bangkok for a web film called ‘Pori,’ directed by popular Bangladeshi director Md Mahmudur Rahman Hime.

Puja also said that she was shocked to see the photos shared with deceptive captions mentally broke her down. She said, “I really don’t know who is spreading these lies about our shooting, why are they doing it? They also have families. They should understand how much these rumours can harm people. I am a human being and I have a family. We are very disturbed by all of these.”

“I had a romantic scene with Jovan. Jovan would call me from behind, and propose on his knees with flowers,” she added.

The project’s director Mahmudur Rahman Hime also took to Facebook and shared behind-the-scenes photos of the film’s cast and crew from his verified Facebook profile on Monday. The photos were taken at the same location where Puja and Jovan could be seen wearing the same costume behind the camera team.

The web film ‘Pori,’ starring Jovan and Puja, is set to release on Deepto TV and their upcoming OTT platform. The film revolves around a Bangladeshi girl who was kidnapped by human traffickers and was forced to work as a bar dancer in a club in Bangkok.
