Popular Bangladeshi rock band Shironamhin is all set to celebrate its 25th-anniversary concert today at the capital’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
To make the event grand, the band will collaborate with the Mumbai-based Symphony Orchestra for the first time in the history of Bangla rock music.
Being the only headliner, Shironamhin will be accompanied by legendary band artistes including Bassbaba Sumon, Bappa Mazumder, Raef Al Hasan Rafa, Palash Noor, Rahul Anand, and more. According to the organizers, artistes will perform with Shironamhim on the band’s most popular songs.
“This will be a lifetime experience for the audience. I can tell you that anyone who’ll come to the concert will be leaving with tears of joy,” said Ziaur Rahman Zia, founding member of Shironamhin.
On the occasion of celebrating the Silver Jubilee, Shironamhin has released the title track from their latest album ‘Perfume,’ along with an intriguing music video. They also redesigned their website and launched their fan base website named ‘Shironamhin Jahaji’.
The gate opens at 3 pm for the audience and the concert will officially start at 6 pm.
Shironamhin started their journey as a band back in 1996, formed at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Their debut album ‘Jahaji’ was released in 2004, made by its popular line-up featuring Zia (Bass), Tuhin (Vocal), Tushar (Guitar), Jewel (Guitar), Farhan (Sarod) and Shafin (Drums).
The current line-up of Shironamhin consists of Zia (Bass), Shafin (Drums), Diat (Guitar), Rashel (Keys) and Istiaque (Vocal).
The line-up for the concert is Bappa Mazumder (Dalchhut), Bassbaba - Sumon (Aurthohin), Syed Ziaur Rahman Turjo (Miles), Rahul Ananda (Joler Gaan), Lincoln Artcell (Artcell), Shishir Ahmed (Aurthohin), Raef Al Hasan Rafa (AvoidRafa), Palash Noor (Warfaze), Probar Ripon (Shonar Bangla Circus), Seth Panduranga Blumberg(Shonar Bangla Circus), Dewan Anamul Hasan (EX- Shonar Bangla Circus), Nazim Uddin (Zahed, The tree), Bakhtiar Hossain (Bay Of Bengal), Mokarram Hossain (AvoidRafa), Shahan Kamal (Introit), Yamin Pranto (Kureghor) and Samit Manzoor (The tree).
