‘Anyadin…’ competing as only Bangladeshi film at VIFF

Kamar Ahmad Simon’s film ‘Anyadin…’ (Day after…) has been officially selected for the 41st Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF). The film is the only Bangladeshi film competing at the festival.

The film is also competing in the Camden International Film Festival. The festival will be started on September 29 and will continue till October 9 at VIFF Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The film is the second part of the Water Trilogy by Kamar after the globally acclaimed ‘Are You Listening!’. 

‘Anyadin…’ had its world premiere on November 20, 2021 at the Pathé Tuschinski in Amsterdam, Netherlands after being nominated at the International Competition of IDFA that year.

‘Anyadin…’ was also premiered as the very first Bangla film at the First Look Festival in the Museum of Moving Image (MOMI), New York in March this year. The project was invited to La Atelier in Cannes 2017 as one of the 15 promising scripts.
