‘The Rohingya’ to hit cinemas on Oct 21

Syed Wahiduzzaman Diamond’s new film, ‘The Rohingya’ is slated to hit local cinemas on October 21 this year.

Director Syed Wahiduzzaman Diamond made the announcement through his verified Facebook page yesterday. It reads “Dear viewers, we are very happy to announce that October 21, 2022 is the release date of the film ‘Rohinga’. Inshallah, we are coming to your nearest theatre from October 21.”

The film revolves around Rohingyas and their stories of when they entered Bangladesh as refugees. ‘The Rohingya’ even got an uncut censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB).

The shooting of the film started in September 2017 at Ukhia Camp in Cox’s Bazar. The film casts, Arshi Hossain, Mintu, Shreya Bristi, Tanjid, Omar Ayaz Oni, and others in various roles.
