‘Operation Sundarban’ receives uncut clearance

Acclaimed director Dipankar Dipon directed ‘Operation Sundarban’ is now all set for theatrical release on September 23 as the film received uncut clearance from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board (BFCB) on Monday.

Before the film’s release yesterday the makers released its second song ‘Ovimani Roddure’ voiced by Habib Wahid and Nandita on YouTube.

The film features Dhallywood heavyweights including Riaz Ahmed, Siam Ahmed, Nusraat Faria, Ziaul Roshan, Shatabdi Wadud, and others. The plot revolves around the success story of the operation by Rapid Action Battalion or RAB, an anti-crime and anti-terrorism unit of the Bangladesh Police, forces to make the Sundarbans pirate-free.

Operation Sundarban’s first song, ‘E Mon Bhije Jay,’ was released on September 3. The song, sung by Bappa Mazumder, was well appreciated on social media.

The trailer of the film was released on July 29 at a grand event at the Laboni Point in the Cox’s Bazar sea beach. 

Furthermore, Dipankar Dipon’s previous film ‘Dhaka Attack’ was a huge success among Bangladeshi audience.
