‘Dhusar Jatra’ to premiere today

Mashud Sumon’s short film ‘Dhusar Jatra’ (Dusky Voyage) will have its premiere show at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) today at 6:30 pm.

The event has been arranged by Panchali Films and Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky will preside over the function. Film researcher Anupom Hayat, filmmaker Foridur Rahman, filmmaker Abu Sayeed and General Secretary of Bangladesh Short Film Forum Rakibul Hasan will be also present at the event.

The story of the short film revolves around the tragedy of the pandemic when dead bodies were being buried without even a Ghusl Mayyit (the final bath performed on a deceased Muslim).

The film is directed by Mashud Sumon The film was edited by Sameer Ahmed while the sound design was done by Saiba Talukder.
