Farin: Had to do a lot of things for the first time

‘Poran’-famed Raihan Rafi’s latest film ‘Nishwas’ is available to stream worldwide on the Bangladeshi OTT platform Chorki from Thursday. In a recent press statement, the film’s lead actor Tasnia Farin said that she had to learn a lot of things for the time in her life for this action-thriller Chorki original.

The film’s lead actor Farin said, “It’s not just for Chorki. Actually I’ve never done these things in my entire career which I had to do for this film. I had to learn a lot of new things to pull this job off. I had to physically learn a lot including fight training, combat training, and weapons training. Also, the biggest challenge for me was to submerge myself in the vision of this character. And for the first time, I played a character that bore no resemblance to the real me at all.”

“The storyline of ‘Nishwas’ is very brave. Most scenes are long one-take shots. For this, we had to rehearse a scene many times before going to shoot. A lot of good pre-production work made it easy for us. The lights, set, camera work, everything was possible due to very good teamwork,” she added.

Farin also said, “I just want people to enjoy the content without much analysis. This story and its characters are very grey. They can’t be tagged black or white. The audience will understand the story better if they see it with empathy.”

The film’s director Raihan Rafi said, “Chorki is a film theatre to me. Those who are unable to go to the cinema halls can watch content on Chorki from home or abroad. ‘Nishwas’ is the most experimental work I’ve done so far in my entire career. The genre, making, style, and cast members of this film are different from all my previous films.”

“I actually never want to cheat my audience. The audience spends their time and money to watch a movie. If we cheat them, they will lose faith in us. I don’t know how much the audience understood after watching the teaser of ‘Nishwas,’ but an enormous set was made for this project. Along with that, 50-60 artistes have worked very hard,” he added.

The film stars Tasnia Farin, Imtiaz Barshan, Safa Kabir, Dilara Zaman, Syed Zaman Shaon, Rashed Mamun Apu, Solaiman Khoka, Neel Hurejahan, Ashok Bepari, Hamidur Rahman, Kamruzzaman Tapu and many more.

The 1 minute 56 seconds-long action-packed trailer released earlier has also been well received by netizens across social media platforms. The plot of the film revolves around terrorism and how it tears families apart. The intense trailer shows Tasnia Farin shooting up a hospital looking for her lost child while Imtiaz Barshon is also seen holding a gun.
