Sai Pallavi, Suriya’s ‘NGK’ on Bongo today

South Indian superstar Sai Pallavi’s films are immensely popular among Bangladeshi audiences. Bongo, Bangladesh’s largest and leading streaming platform, will release the Bangla dubbed version of Sai Pallavi & Suriya’s first political drama ‘NGK’ today. The film is a mixed masala of romance, comedy, drama, and tragedy, with full of mind-blowing action scenes.

Nanda Gopal Kumar (played by Suriya), nicknamed NGK, is an environmental engineering graduate who resigns from his job to take up organic farming. He is a do-gooder who always has people’s welfare and best interest in mind. The youngsters of his small-town look up to him as a role model. However, the local politicians envy his reach among the local youth. He lives with his loving parents and a caring but possessive wife (played by Sai Pallavi). Ultimately a clash between city politicians and NGK erupts and the story moves ahead.

‘NGK’ was released in Indian theatres on May 31, 2019. Popular streaming platform Amazon Prime released the movie in Tamil on July 5, 2019.

It was also the first Tamil movie released in South Korea and Japan. When the first poster of the movie ‘NGK’ was released, it was rumoured that the revolutionary Che Guevara inspired the design.
