DiCaprio may join ‘Squid Game’

Leonardo DiCaprio might become a part of ‘Squid Game’ if there is a third season. According to the director of Squid Game, Hwang Dong-hyuk, there might be other Major Hollywood actors too.

According to the Deadline Hwang said DiCaprio is a big fan of the show.

“Maybe if time allows and if chances allow we should ask him to join the game,” said Hwang. “We have already joked about that.”

Though for the second season the director admitted that Hollywood actors are not in his plan as the series will again be set in Korea.

However he also said, if a third season is greenlit the plans will probably change conceding many other Hollywood stars have said they loved the show.

The second season will in production next year and air in 2024.

Hwang has said he is feeling a lot of pressure after season one’s stellar performance. He also said that he was in a dilemma over whether and how to revive dead characters as he prepared for a second season. Director-writer Hwang Dong-hyuk won an Emmy for outstanding directing for a drama series, while lead actor Lee Jung-jae clinched the honour for best actor in drama.
