Richi Solaiman, a well-known face in the Bangladeshi entertainment industry, is now staying in the US with her family.
While recalling her days in the Bangladeshi entertainment industry, she talked about one of her favourite actresses Ferdousi Mazumder.
Talking about Ferdousi Mazumder, Richi said, “Many dreams of ours – who mostly act on the small screen – remain as a dream. Many of us used to have a dream of acting with Ferdousi Mazumder. I was one of them, to be honest.”
“But somehow that dream of mine was fulfilled as I had the opportunity to act with her in a daily soap called ‘Jokhon Kokhono’. I still think that opportunity is a blessing,” said Richi.
“Actually the main advantage of acting with actresses of such calibre is that when we see them act and what we do in reaction becomes acting,” she added.
It is not just her but seems like Ferdousi Mazumder also recalls Richi for her dedication to acting. The eminent actress once said, “Richi acts really well and always tries to make herself better.”
The daily soap, ‘Jokhon Kokhono’ was directed by Rahmatullah Tuhin. In the soap, Richi acted as the daughter of Ferdousi Mazumder. It was aired on Bangladeshi satellite channel NTV. The daily soap is now also available on YouTube.
Although Richi misses Bangladesh all the time, her return to the country is not scheduled any soon.
Richi debuted as an actress through the serial ‘Bela O Bela’ in 1998. There she acted opposite Tony Dias. That serial was produced by Farhuq Bhuiyan and aired on BTV.
She made her acting debut on the silver screen in the film ‘Nirab Prem’ directed by Shahnewaz Kakoli.
In 2008, she married an American expatriate Rashek Malik and the couple have a son named Rayan Ridwan Mallik and a daughter named Ilma Rayan Malik.
