‘Gunjan Bibir Pala’ to be staged today

Theatre troupe Padatik Natya Sangsad will stage its 41st production ‘Gunjan Bibir Pala’ today at 7pm at the Experimental Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital’s Segun Bagicha region.

Written and directed by Sayik Siddiqui, the play ‘Gunjan Bibir Pala’ is designed like a traditional pala–a folk theatre form of rural Bengal. 

The probable cast of the play includes Mominul Haq Dipu, Moshiur Rahman, Sayeeda Shamsi Ara, Zinia Azad and others. Sanjib Kumar Dey has designed the stage, while Atiqul Islam Joy designed the lights. Choreographed by Sayeeda Shamsi Ara, the music for the play has been done by Hamidur Rahman Pappu and Monir Dewan.
