Observing the 75th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) organized a handful of programmes including exhibitions and cultural events.
The celebration began with the unveiling the portrait of the Prime Minister (100x76 feet) entitled ‘Sabujer Buke Manobotar Jononi’ at Shilpakala Academy premises at 3 pm and an art camp was held from 3 pm to 5 pm with the participation of children and youth.
In the evening, a discussion and cultural programme was held at the Academy’s National Theater auditorium at 6 pm. Presided over by BSA director general Liaquat Ali Lucky, president of Bangla Academy and eminent fiction writer Selina Hossain discussed the life and philosophy of the Prime Minister. Puspita delivered her speech as a child discussant at the event. A seven
day art exhibition honouring the life and works of the Prime Minister was inaugurated at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh.
The exhibition will run till October 4 from 11am to 8pm.
After the discussion, BSA child artistes, child dance troupe, BSA dance troupe, BSA music trpupe, BSA Bhawaiya dal, BSA Baul dal presented beautiful music and dance performances.
