Aranyak Natyadal to stage ‘Rajnetra’ at Mahila Samiti

Theatre troupe Aranyak Natyadal to stage its 64th production ‘Rajnetra’ today at the Bangladesh Mohila Somiti in the capital. The play, written and directed by acclaimed stage director Haroon Rashid, will start at 7pm.

The play tries to depict a culture that has been in place since the dawn of civilisation. 

The story of the play is based on the story of a king, although the kingdom is ruled by his subordinates who do not allow the king to see the real picture of the kingdom and the people.

He wants to know the truth about the kingdom after the king’s marriage to Bishakha. He is, however, stopped by his underlings. The terrible deaths of the king and queen mark the play’s conclusion. However, the kingdom does not remain without a ruler for long, and a new monarch takes the throne.

The show will be the 4th staging of the production.
