UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra has over the years visited multiple locations around the world that have been affected by natural or manmade calamities. The Bollywood actor and singer has, in fact, made it a point to highlight issues faced in such locations while appealing to the people of the world for assistance. Continuing the same, Priyanka Chopra recently visited the drought-affected country of Kenya, where she spent time with the locals understanding the problems they face, reports Hindustan Times.
Taking to her social media handle on Instagram, Priyanka Chopra shared a video of the conditions the locals face in Kenya while highlighting the issues. Along with the post, she added, “Children are starving to death and millions are on the brink of starvation. This is the face of the climate crisis, and here in Kenya, it’s happening right now. But, there is hope and there are solutions. Over the next few days, I’ll be showing @unicef’s immense efforts happening on the ground to save lives. BUT in order to reverse this unprecedented crisis, money is desperately needed to ensure the good work continues.”
