Director Azizur Rahman Buli passes away

Renowned Bangladeshi producer-director Azizur Rahman Buli breathed his last at the age of 76. Eminent director, Sohanur Rahman Sohan confirmed the news of his death.

He was admitted to Red Care Hospital in the capital after feeling ill. He breathed his last at 3:20 am yesterday morning.

The first namaz-e-janaza for Buli will be held at Uttara sector no 7. He will be buried at Banani graveyard following his second janaza.

Buli made his debut in the Bangladeshi entertainment industry in 1970 with the film ‘Nacher Putul’. Later in 1980, he debuted as an actor in the film ‘Shesh Uttart’. He was last seen in the film ‘Bandhu Jeno Shatru’.

Azizur Rahman Buli, also the former president of the Bangladesh Film Directors Association, was born in Old Dhaka’s Bangshal area on May 1, 1946.
