Adele releases 30 music videos

English singer and songwriter Adele finally gave another 30 music videos to her audience. Nearly a year after releasing her fourth album, Adele released an equally long-awaited visual for the standout song ‘I Drink Wine’, reports Vulture.

She came through Oct. 26 with a colourful video for the single “I Drink Wine.”

The seven-minute video comes more than nine months after the release of the trippy black-and-white video for “Oh My God,” and a solid year after the video for “Easy On Me,” but to hear Adele tell it, the filming for “I Drink Wine” happened before either of those videos.

Adele planned to release ‘I Drink Wine’ earlier, she revealed, but held off when she postponed her Las Vegas residency. “I didn’t want anyone to think I weren’t trying my best,” she told Elle of making the shows happen. Now Adele is less than a month out from kicking off that rescheduled residency on November 18.

Adele co-wrote the song with its producer Greg Kurstin. It became available as the album’s seventh track on 19 November 2021, when it was released by Columbia Records. “I Drink Wine” is a ballad with gospel influences which is reminiscent of church music and incorporates a piano and an organ in its instrumentation. The song is about letting go of one’s ego and addresses Adele’s divorce with Simon Konecki, comprising arduous realisations about the condition of her marriage and life.
