Popular Bangladeshi filmmaker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s latest web series ‘Bodh’ dropped its first official trailer yesterday. The two-minute-long trailer of the Hoichoi original series gave the audiences a glimpse of what can be expected from the show.
A retired judge suffering from Alzheimer’s is constantly faced with snippets from his past that haunt him all day and don’t let him sleep at night either. These people and incidents keep popping up and unravelling a case from the past, a story about a young man who might have been wrongfully convicted.
‘Bodh’ starring Afzal Hossain, Runa Khan, Sarah Alam, Shahjahan Shamrat, Khairul Basar, Rawnak Hasan, and Orchita Sporshia and directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury is the story of a retired judge, the awakening of his conscience, and his struggle to revoke his past judgments with the help of his daughter. The tale revolves around a judge named Alamgir Hossain (Afzal Hossain).
Talking about his second project ‘Bodh’ on Hoichoi, Amitabh Reza Chowdhury said, “My first OTT project with Hoichoi. It was a great pleasure to have created the first series - Dhaka Metro, that marked the beginning of Hoichoi Bangladesh’s journey and now I’m super excited to be back on the platform with my new series ‘Bodh’. It’s a story about conscience, family, emotions and a lot more and stars some really talented actors and I can’t wait for the audiences to watch it”
Adding to this Afzal Hossain who plays Alamgir Hossain on the show said, “Alamgir Hossain is a complex character and has a number of layers and emotions to him. His story is far from conventional and the demons from his past haunt him. It was very enriching to play this character and be part of a story like ‘Bodh’. Working with the team was a dream as the actors are very talented and it was a pleasure to work with Amitabh Reza Chowdhury as well.”
Amitabh Reza’s first Hoichoi series ‘Dhaka Metro’ received negative reviews from both critics and audiences. His second Hoichoi series ‘Bodh’ will be released on the Indian OTT platform on November 4.
