Photo exhibition ‘The Struggles for Dignified Livelihood’ starts today

A photo exhibition titled ‘The Struggles for Dignified Livelihood’ will kick off today at Nalinikanta Bhattashali Hall of Bangladesh National Museum. The inauguration programme will start at 2 pm on November 22 at the gallery.

Minister M. A. Mannan the, Ministry of Planning, GoB will attend the programme as the chief guest. Charles Whiteley, the ambassador and head of delegation at the delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh, Rashed Khan Menon MP, Director General of Bangladesh National Museum Md Kamruzzaman and others will be present as the special guest.

The event will be emceed by Professor Ribayed Ferdous.

The exhibition has been organised by Christian Aid Bangladesh which is based on the risk and discrimination in the livelihoods of the Dalit, plainland ethnic minority, transgender and hijra, tea workers, and persons with disability communities. This exhibition is a part of ‘The Empowering Left Behind Minority Communities to effectively participate in the development process of Bangladesh’ project. The photos are going to showcase discrimination to ensure decent work.

The exhibition is open to all and will continue on November 22 and November 23 from 11 am to 5 pm while on November 25 the gallery will be open to all from 3 pm to 7 pm.
