‘Aboyab’ features emotions of people

A solo art exhibition titled ‘Aboyab’ is ongoing at the Shunno Art Space, Lalmatia in the capital. The exhibition, which began on November 11, will end tomorrow.

Artist Fahim Chowdhury has depicted the emotions of people around him amid the Covid-19 crisis in this exhibition. The exhibition features a number of 16 portrait drawings that were created using pencil and charcoal.

The opening ceremony took place on November 11 and had prominent artist Shahid Kabir as the chief guest and Mustafa Zaman, an artist and art critic, as a special guest.

This marks the first solo exhibition of the artist.

The exhibition is open to all till November 25 every day from 4 pm to 9:30 pm except Sundays.

The Kishoreganj-born artist Fahim Chowdhury was a student of Studied at the University of Development Alternative (UODA). His works are inspired by the scenic beauty of haor. For him, women are similar to nature as they can stand firm under pressure.
