Co-stars wish Suborna Mustafa

Prominent Bangladeshi actress Suborna Mustafa is celebrating her birthday today. The actress is receiving love and best wishes from her colleagues and fans on this occasion.

The actress receives a birthday wish from legendary actor Masud Ali Khan. “Suborna Mustafa is the daughter of my very close friend Golam Mustafa. I wish her a very happy birthday. She is a member of our Jatiya Sangsad, too. So, my expectations from her are a bit too high. She is a prominent name in our entertainment industry as well. My best wishes are always with her,” said Masud Ali Khan.

Afzal Hossain, with whom Suborna Mustafa shared a lot of screen time, also sends her a wish. On television, Suborna Mustafa and Afzal Hossain’s pairing is still considered a fan favourite among audiences. On her birthday, Afzal Hossain recalled their old days and said, “Suborna was always a mature actor. She has a surreal ability to act. However, in our country, there are a lot of limitations too. I remember, there used to be a time when the audience loved to see Suborna on screen. She was a regular actress in our entertainment industry. But now the time has changed. Now only a few works are released of actors and actresses who are highly professional in acting. This is something that makes me sad. I want Subarna Mustafa to do more good work to keep her acting alive in the minds of the audience.”

Although now Dolly Johur and Suborna Mustafa cannot be in regular touch, on the big day, Suborna Mustafa also received a wish from Dolly Johur. “I always share a deep worm relationship with Suborna. Even though I don’t get a chance to meet her like before and now the contact became much lesser than before yet my love for her remains the same. From ‘Babar Kolom’, and ‘Octopus’ to the film ‘Shonkhonil Karagar’, we have done a lot together. We have so many sweet memories. Subarna is a very kind-hearted person. Many many wishes on her birthday, and also my prayers are always with her,” said Dolly Johur.

Suuborna Mustafa was born in 1960 in Jhalakati.

The noted actress made her acting debut in the television drama ‘Baraf Gala Nadi’, based on a novel by Zahir Raihan.

Suborna is notable for her roles in television drama serials including ‘Kothao Keu Nei’ (1990), ‘Aaj Robibar’ (1999), and ‘Ayomoy’ (1991).

She won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress twice for her performances in the films Notun Bou’ (1983) and ‘Gohin Baluchor’ (2017). She was also awarded Ekushey Padak in 2019.
