Deepika Padukone will be the first global actor to unveil the FIFA World Cup trophy during the finals, possibly the first in FIFA history. The FIFA World Cup final will be held on December 18 at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar.
According to reports, Deepika is expected to fly to Qatar soon to participate in the event. The 36-year-old actor will be the first to be honoured in such a way at one of the world’s most-watched sporting events. This comes just a few months after Deepika represented India as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival.
Nora Fatehi, an actor and dancer, performed last week at the Fifa World Cup 2022 Fan Festival at Al Bidda Park in Doha. She performed on the World Cup anthem “Light the Sky.” She also performed some of her hits, such as ‘O Saki.’ Nora thanked her team and shared a behind-the-scenes video of her performance at the fan fest.
On the professional front, Deepika will appear in the movie, Pathaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The film will be released on January 25, 2023. Incidentally, the movie, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been shot in 8 countries.
