An art exhibition titled ‘Nature is Life, Art for Brighter Life’ is underway at Art Bangla Foundation Gallery in the capital’s Lalmatia Area. Starting on December 6, the exhibition will end on December 12.
The exhibition features 136 artworks created in an art camp during the 3rd International Art Festival held in Nilphamari, which was organised by the foundation in 2020.
It showcases artworks with different mediums like acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and mixed media paintings created by Eminent, aspiring, and child artists from both home and abroad.
Presided over by Art Bangla Foundation chairman Mohammad Eunus, Bangladeshi actor, politician, and activist Asaduzzaman Noor inaugurated the exhibition on December 6 while Alliance Francaise de Dhaka director M Francois Grosjean was present as the special guest. Besides, Art Bangla Foundation director general Harun Ar Rashid spoke at the inaugural ceremony.
Senior artists from Bangladesh, namely Shishir Bhattacharjee, Nisar Hossain, Rokeya Sultana, Sourav Chowdhury, Tarun Ghosh, Mohammad Iqbal, Abul Barq Alvi, Ranjit Das, Rezaun Nabi, Rifat, Preema Andalib, Sheikh Afzal, Ritusree Das, Moniruzzaman, Afzal Hossain, Biswajit Goswami, Abdul Momen, Susanta Kumar Adhikari, Zahangir Alam, Jamal Ahmed, Mohammad Eunus, Ahmed Shamsuddoha, and others have displayed their artworks in the exhibition.
Besides, artworks created by foreign artists Tabassum Yusuf, Sumantra Sardar, Pamela Das Gupta, and Yusuf Yusuf from India, Mon Thet from Myanmar, and Khohal Hamal from Nepal have been displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to all from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
