11 authors receive Shishu Sahitya Puroshkar, Shahitya Puroskar

‘Panjeree Choto Kaku Ananda Alo Shishu Sahitya Puroshkar 2020’ and ‘Panjeree Choto Kaku Ananda Alo Sahitya Puroskar 2021’ formally conferred to 11 writers and poets at an award function on the Channel i premises in the capital’s Tejgaon area on December 19.

Eminent novelist Imdadul Haq Milan has been awarded with ‘Panjeree Choto Kaku Ananda Alo Shishu Sahitya Puroshkar 2020’ for the book ‘Baban and Tuntuni Pakhi’ under the story and novel category.

Besides, Mahfuzur Rahman received the award under the rhyme and poetry category, while Surma Jahid and Imran Parash received the award under the Liberation War category. Apart from this, Afzal Hossain received an award for the book ‘Smriti Batayne Chander Hat’ and ‘Katha Prakash’ received the award for the best children’s publication this year.

This year, Additional IGP of Bangladesh Police and Chief of Bangladesh Tourist Police Habibur Rahman received ‘Panjeree Choto Kaku Ananda Alo Sahitya Puroskar 2021’ for research on the Liberation War, while Amirul Islam bagged the award for children’s literature. Maruful Islam got the award for poetry, Ratan Siddiqui received award for Children’s Literature and Sangeeta Imam got one for her short stories.

Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor Muhammad Samad, fiction writer Anwara Syed Haq, Shishu Academy Director General Anjir Liton, Managing Director of Panjeree Publications Kamrul Hasan Shayok, Editor of Ananda Alo Rezanur Rahman, Bachsas President Raju Alim handed pver the awards to the awardees at the event.
