‘Adventure of Sundarbans’ to hit theatres Jan 20

The trailer and poster of the film Adventures of Sundarbans’ were released on a streaming platform on Tuesday. ‘Adventures of Sundarbans’ is a joint production of Bongobd with government funding. The film has been made based on Dr Muhammad Zafar Iqbal’s children’s novel ‘Ratul-er Raat, Ratul-er Din’. The film will hit theaters on January 20, 2023.

Directed by Abu Raihan Jewel, the project features Siam Ahmed and Pori Moni in lead roles. The trailer and poster were released at a ceremony at the Bangladesh Mahila Samity in the capital’s Baily Road on Tuesday. Siam Ahmed, Pori Moni, the organiser of the Children’s Film Society of Bangladesh Munira Morshed Munni, Muhammad Zafar Iqbal, and many others were present at the event.

The film will star Siam Ahmed in the role of Ratul. “I knew my character Ratul for a very long time. Although, I never thought I will play the character. It was like a dream come true. I remember when I first started working on the film, I was only Siam. After we started to work I don’t know when, all the kids made me their Ratul Bhaia. Thus, I came back to Dhaka as their Ratul Bhaia,” said Siam.

‘Adventure of Sundarban’ also features Shahidul Alam Sachchu, Azad Abul Kalam, Monira Mithu, Kochi Khandakar, and Ashish Khandakar, among others.
