Opera to stage ‘Hat Bariye Dao’ on Christmas Day

Theatre troupe Opera Natyadal will stage the 7th show of its 11th production ‘Hat Bariye Dao’ tomorrow at 7:00pm at Studio Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), Segun Bagicha in the capital.

The play is based on Italian author and journalist Oriana Fallaci’s novel ‘Letter to a Child Never Born’ which was later translated by Anu Muhammad and dramatised by Nahid Smriti. The play has been directed by Sazzad Sabbir.

The story of the play revolves around a young unmarried woman who is expecting a baby soon. The story details the woman’s struggle to choose between a career she loves and an unexpected pregnancy, explaining how life works with examples of her childhood and warning him/her about the unfairness of the world. The play goes on as an illusionary conversation between the mother and her unborn child.

The tickets for the play will cost 200 BDT and 300 BDT based on the sitting arrangement. The tickets will be available in front of the hall from 5 pm to 6:55pm.
