The Christmas Day special drama ‘Maryan’ will be aired today on satellite channel Maasranga Television at 9:00 p.m. Directed by Jayanta Rozario, the drama has been written by Mesbah Uddin Suman.
The drama casts Manoj Pramanik, Nazia Haque Orsha, Faruque Ahamed, Mili Bashar, and others in various important roles.
The plot revolves around, John and Maryan. John, who lives in America, visits Bangladesh after hearing the news of his beloved uncle’s death. As he misses his uncle very much, he visits the cemetery regularly and lights candles, where he sees a girl on a regular basis. John notices that the girl lights candles and prays on graves where candles are not lit, which touched his heart. He became curious about her, and one day he stepped forward and talked to her. The name of the girl is Maryan. The role of Maryan has been played by Orsha.
The play continues as John learns that Maryan, an orphan, lives at the monastery with other church sisters. Father Joseph brought her to the home when she was a child. With time, John started to fall for Maryan.
The drama stars Manoj Pramanik in the role of John.
