Serakontho-famed vocalist Kaniz Khadiza Tinni received the BCRA Victory Award for the song ‘Projapoti Mon’. She got the honour as she was announced the ‘Best Newcomer’ at the 27th founding anniversary of the ‘Bangladesh Cultural Reporters Association’.
The ceremony was held in the auditorium of the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Friday.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud attended the event as the chief guest.
“First of all, I’m thankful to the Almighty for my voice. My sincere gratitude goes to my parents, who have always inspired me. After that, I like to thank the lyricist, composer, director of the music video and production company of the song for which I was recognised as the best new artiste. Thanks to BCRA for giving me special recognition for the song ‘Projapoti Mon’. I am always grateful to the seniors of the music industry who have always inspired me,” said Tinni after receiving the award. “Thanks to the media and journalists for reaching out my song to the audience. I want to sing original songs and have a dream – to win the National Film Award one day. I believe one day this dream will come true. I am preparing myself in that way. Please keep me in your prayers,” she added.
The song ‘Projapoti Mon’ has been written by Sheikh Nazrul. Rezwan Sheikh was the one who tuned and composed the song. The music video of the song has been directed by Fidel Naim.
