Airin: I don’t have the time to relax like before

After the release of the film, ‘Gantabya’ in 2021, actress and model Airin Sultana was recently seen on the big screen again. Since then, she did not act in any new film and no movie has been released. Finally, after almost two years, a new film ‘Kagoj’ starring Airin was released in nine theaters last Friday, December 23. Directed by Ali Zulfikar Zahedi, Airin played a central role, named Renu, who is a highly educated girl, belonging to a well-respected family in her village.

After completing the shooting, the actress did not stay in touch with the director even though she did not take part in the movie’s promotion. Regarding this Airin said, “I am working in a private organization, so I don’t have the time to relax like before. Due to this, I could not participate much in the campaign.”

“Already the film ‘Kagoj’ was released in nine theaters. Next Friday, December 30, the film will be released at Star Cineplex and Blockbuster Cinemas. This time I want to go cinema hall and enjoy the film. Before that, I went to see the film ‘Gantabya’ in the theater. I hope it will be very enjoyable for me to sit and watch the movie in the hall with the audience.”

Airin has completed the work of two films ‘Hrid Majhare Tumi’ directed by Mostafizur Rahman Babu and ‘Choitra Dupur’ by Jasmine Nadi. Airin played the lead role in both.

In 2013, Airin made her film debut as an actress in the film ‘Bhalobasa Zindabad’ directed by Debashish Biswas. In the film, Airin acted opposite Arifi Shuvo. In 2021, Airin worked as a judge on NTV’s reality show Ananya Pratibha. Airin first acted in the drama serial ‘Poush Faguner Pala’ directed by Afsana Mimi. Later she acted in Ashutosh Sujan’s ‘Man Power’ and Tanbeel Hossain Prabal’s ‘Tabuo Sangshay’.

Airin starrer films are Saif Chandan’s ‘Chheleti Abol Tabol Meyeti Pagol Pagol’, SA Haque Olike’s ‘Ek Prithi Prem’, Alvi Ahmed’s ‘Uturn’, Akash Acharya’s ‘Mayabini’. Airin’s debut web series was ‘Dhoka’ directed by Ananya Mamun.
