Salman Khan celebrated his 57th birthday on December 27. Celebrations had turned grand for the superstar after a sea of fans flocked outside the actor’s Mumbai residence. While some carried his posters and banners, others shouted out cheerful slogans on the special day. Soon after the actor greeted fans from his balcony, the crowd became unmanageable, reports India Today.
Salman Khan, who was accompanied by his father Salim Khan, walked up to the balcony of his house in order to greet his fans on the special day. Salman had even shared a post on Instagram that showed him waving at his fans while thanking them for their unconditional love. However, the actor’s birthday celebrations turned violent towards the end after the crowd started yelling and swelling up, and the police had to intervene and push them back.
After the crowd went out of control, the police had to do a lathi charge on some of them to push them back. A video shows them running away, leaving their shoes and other belongings as the police shoe them away with sticks.
Ahead of Salman Khan’s birthday, the actor hosted a grand birthday bash on December 26 which was attended by a bevy of stars. Shah Rukh Khan, Sangeeta Bijlani, Kartik Aaryan, Tabu, Suniel Shetty, Riteish and Genelia, Sonakshi Sinha, his brothers, Sohail, Arbaaz, and sister Alvira among others were spotted arriving at the actor’s residence for the celebrations.
