Shirin Shila’s new film, ‘Birangana 71’ will be released tomorrow. Directed by M Sakhawat Hossain, the film tells the story of the Liberation War in Bangladesh.
Shirin Shila played the role of war heroine Joybun in the film. “It is an honour for me to play such a role. M Sakhawat Hossain directed the film beautifully. This is the first film mine that is releasing this year. I tried my best to portray the character. This film also marks my first work with Fazlur Rahman Babu. He also helped me a lot. The team is now busy promoting the film. It’s my humble request to everyone to come and watch the film. I hope they will like it,” said Shila.
The film casts Fazlur Rahman Babu in the role of Shila’s father.
On the other hand, popular model and actor Shahed Sharif Khan will be making a return to the big screen after six years with this film. Shahed will be portraying the role of a freedom fighter in the film. His role in the film is very important and unique too.
Apart from Babu and Shila the film also stars, Jhuna Chowdhury, Khalilur Rahman Kaderi, and others.
The shooting of the film was completed at the beginning of 2022. The film also received an uncut clearance from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board.
