Mamo confesses her divorce after 2yrs

National Film Award-winning actress Zakia Bari Mamo and noted director Shihab Shaheen got divorced. According to the media reports, they got divorced in September 2020.

Actress Zakia Bari Mamo and filmmaker Shihab Shaheen secretly got married on November 20, 2015, which people came to know in 2019 after they posted a picture of their fourth wedding anniversary confirming the marriage rumours.

But they could not settle for long after bringing the news of their marriage to the public.

After only one year, Mamo-Shihab walked down the path of separation in 2020. Two years have passed since they got separated.

According to Mamo the decision about the separation came from Shihab, and for that, Mamo is thankful to him.

“He gave the divorce and for that I’m thankful. He made me free. I pray for his goodwill,” said Mamo.

“I’m happy with my life and trying to make it stable according to my way. I’m busy with my work, and that’s all,” she added.

They had been apart for the past two years. Both of them are now busy with their lives.

Like Mamo, Shihab also did not want to talk much about their divorce. “I’m not interested to discuss my personal life in media. My new film, ‘Mayashalik’ was released a few days ago. Maybe someone is spreading words about my personal issues to divert the focus from my work towards something else,” said Shihab.
