Tareen as Mintu’s widow in ‘Sei Ratrir Raktasrot’

Tareen Jahan and Ahsan Habib Nasim are working on Anjan Aich’s new drama, ‘Sei Ratrir Raktasrot’. The story of the drama is based on Shahid Rahman’s book ‘Mohamanober Deshe’.

The story of the drama revolves around the 1975 murder of Shafiqul Alam Mintu, the private secretary of politician Tofail Ahmed who was the political secretary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The story also narrates the sufferings of Mintu’s wife.

Based on the true story of Mintu’s murder, the drama tells the story of his wife’s 45-year journey of suffering as his widow. After 45 years, the murderer of Mintu was arrested, and she meets the murderer to find out about Mintu and have the answers to her questions about why he was murdered and where they buried his remains. Tareen Jahan will portray the role of Mintu’s wife in this play, while Ahsan Habib Nasim will be seen as Mintu.

Apart from them, the drama casts Majnun Mijan, Sushoma Sarkar, Shahjahan Samrat and many others.

“The director is making the film with much care. The whole team in this project was awesome. It can be said without a doubt that Tareen is an amazing actress. She tried her best to portray the character. I hope the audience will like the work,” said Nasim.

“I’m playing the role of the wife of such a person who loved the country and the father of the nation. The budget for this project is very low. Yet we are trying our best to make it count. I don’t have any idea about the final outcome. We tried our best. All in all, the rest is totally up to the audience,” said Tareen.
