Mamo starrer ‘Ora Satjon’ releasing on March 3

Zakia Bari Mamo’s upcoming film ‘Ora Satjon’ will be released on March 3. The film based on the Liberation war has been directed by Khijir Hayat Khan.

The film will show the actress in the role of a freedom fighter named Aparna Sen. “People usually use a certain formula when it comes to making films on Liberation war or those films are confined in a certain way. However, this film is quite different from those. I will certainly request the young generation to watch the film without having these certain mindset. If one can watch the film without stereotyping it only then people can enjoy the film totally,” said Mamo.

“I personally enjoyed working in this film. I had to give a lot of time and effort when I was shooting for it. My hard work will only pay off if people enjoy watching this film,” she added.

“Some of our freedom fighters and their families watched the film and said I’ve successfully portrayed the time of liberation war. This actually gave me the courage to move forward. I request everyone to watch the film,” said Khijir Hayat Khan.

The film also casts, Intekhab Dinar, Saif Khan, Imtiaz Barshon, Nafis Ahmed and others.

Apart from this film, Mamo is now working on a web series ‘Marcialis’ directed by Shahed Emon. The actress will play the role of Sinthia Karim in the web series.
