Anuswar to stage ‘Raymangal’ today

Theatre troupe Anuswar will stage the its latest production, ‘Raymangal’ today at 7:00 pm at the main hall of National Theatre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital. This is the eighth production of the troupe.

Saif Suman directed the play. The play is based on Suman Majumdar’s novel, which has been dramatized by the director himself.

Based on the eternal struggle of love, hunger, and livelihood, ‘Raymangal’ is a story of uprooting minorities using modern-day religion-politics along with factional clashes. ‘Raymangal’ is a story of the long past of societal instincts in modern space and time.

The play casts Shakil Shiddhartha, Mahfuz Sumon, Mazedul Mithu, Marina Mitu, Farida Akter Lima, Abir Sayem, and others.

The tickets for the premier show are available for Tk 200, Tk 300, and Tk 500 each, based on seating arrangements.
