Jaya’s ‘Beauty Circus’ to be screened at DIFF today

Jaya Ahsan starrer film ‘Beauty Circus’-a much-talked about film directed by Mahmud Didar will be screened today at Bangladesh National Museum, as a part of the ongoing Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) in Bangladesh Panorama section.

‘Beauty Circus’ revolves around a woman who makes her living by preforming on the circus. Jaya Ahsan is playing the lead role and the name of her character is Beauty. The film also casts Ferdous Ahmed, Tauquir Ahmed, Gazi Rakayet, ABM Sumon, Shatabdi Wadud, Humayun Kabir Sadhu and others.

Besides, Indian film ‘Sthalam’ (The Land), directed by BijuKumar Damodadaran, ‘I am not the River Jhelum’ by Prabhash Chandra, ‘Manikbabur Megh’ (The Cloud & The Man) Abhinandan Banerjee and Mongolian film ‘The Only Reason’ by Batzaya Gandush will be screened at the same venue today.

Besides, several local, international, short and independent, women making films will be screened simultaneously at the different venues of DIFF like main auditorium and Sufia Kamal Auditorium of National Museum, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Alliance Francaise de Dhaka, and as well as Star Cineplex.
