Regional art and film fest ‘Reincarnate 3’ begins

A three-day-long regional art and film festival titled ‘Reincarnate 3’ will begin today at Bangladesh Mahila Samity, Baily road in the capital.

The inaugural ceremony of the festival will start at 4 pm. State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid will be the chief guest at the ceremony, while Additional IGP and Head of Tourist Police Habibur Rahman, Deputy Chief of Mission at US Embassy in Dhaka Helen LaFave, Country Director of UNAIDS Dr Saima Khan and cultural activist and film director Nasiruddin Yousuff will be attending the event as special guests.

The event will be chaired by Cultural personalities and the Chairperson of Bandhu Social Welfare Society Anisul Islam Hero.

After the inaugural ceremony, there will be a dance performance choreographed by Shamim Ara Nipa. The programme of first day will come to an end with screening of films ‘Alpha’ directed by Nasiruddin Yousuff and ‘Raja Bhau’ directed by Sridhar Rangayan. The film screening will start at 6:00 pm.

The festival has been organised by Bandhu Social Welfare Society.
