Sreelekha joins Ferdous in ‘Mir Jafar Chapter 2’

Popular Tollywood actress Sreelekha Mitra has been cast for ‘Mir Jafar Chapter 2’ directed by Arkadeep Mallika Nath. In the film, the actress will work with Dhallywood actors Ferdous Ahmed and Ziaul Roshan.

The actress confirmed the news in a media interaction at the Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) on Monday.

Sreelekha’s directorial ‘Ebong Chad’ was screened at the festival on Monday at the Sufia Kamal Auditorium of the National Museum. After the screening, Sreelekha interacted with the Bangladeshi audience and answered their questions. However, another screening of the short film ‘Ebong Chad’ will be screened on January 21 at the same venue.

According to Sreelekha, the shooting is expected to start in February.

Apart from Roshan and Ferdous, the film also cast Srabanti Chatterjee,  Saurav Das, and Priyanka Sarkar. Apart from them Subrat Dutta, Sohini Sengupta, Bulbuli Panja, and Joy Sarkar will be seen in pivotal roles as well.

The film is based on the life of Mir Jafar and how he deceived Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah. That’s why the film has been named after this historical character.

The plot will shed light on some disturbing incidents in a village set against a political backdrop and explore the dark side that often remains unnoticed by all.

The film will be made in a unique way with dollops of action sequences, dramatic events, and romance.
